The Rakes' New Album

Another inbox love here (I should spend more time on my inbox, perhaps).
We didnt have no where to go
Waiting for the daylight to begin
Singer, save our secular souls
How can you have hope with no God?

The Rakes are a four piece indie rock band hailing from London. Releasing their debut album Capture/Release in 2005, The Rakes were the talk of the Reading and Leeds Festival after joining forces with Indie elites such as Bloc Party and Maxïmo Park in the NME Tent.

The Rakes acquires that "sonsie" sound coupled with humorous lyrics. As well as famous for their fashion sense, this band also is associated with their songs capturing the working life, mundane routines and escapism.

We Danced Together
The World Was a Mess but His Hair Was Perfect

The Rakes will release their third album 'KLANG' on March 23. The first single, The Light From Your Mac is a stumper.

1.You're In It
2.That's The Reason
3.The Loneliness Of The Outdoor Smoker
4.Bitchin' in the Kitchin'
5.The Woes Of The Working Woman
8.The Light From Your Mac
9.Muller's Ratchet
10.The Final Hill
11.Never Get Married

The single '1989' will be released one week earlier on March 16.
