On The Radio This Morning

Green world, love the chloroform.
Front porch in the thunderstorm.
Controlled chaos, confused energy.

So stop reading the weather charts.
Stop counting the playing cards.
There's no system, there's no guarantee
That the love you feel and carry inside can be passed.
But you try, I know you do you still talk
to your plans.
Ask how are you getting on alone?

Some wander the wilderness,
some drink cosmopolitans.
Some cold science, some glean astroplanes.
I can't tell where the canvas stops,
homesick as an astronaut.
Just keep drifting, but still can't explain.
How the love we feel we carry inside can be passed.
See a brother in the gutter you reach out your hand.
Ask how are you getting on alone?

What gauge measures miracles?
And whose heartbeat's electrical?
We feign sickness with our modern joy.
But even Western medicine,
it couldn't save Danny Callahan.
Bad bone marrow, a bald little boy.
But the love he feels he carries inside can be passed.
He lay still,
his mother kissed him goodbye, said 'comeback.'
Where are you going to alone?
Where are you going all alone?

Dr. Dog

Dr. Dog
Dr. Dog is a psychedelic rock group from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania which formed in 1999. The current lineup consists of Scott “Taxi” McMicken (vocals, guitar), Toby “Tables” Leaman (bass), Zach “Text” Miller (keyboards, guitar), Sukey “Thanks” Jumps (guitar) and Juston “Trouble” Stens (drums). r. Dog has been creating music in various incarnations for a good four years now. Beginning with The Psychedelic Swamp, a concept album realized in the damp ruin of a flooded basement with waterlogged guitars and a digital delay pedal, the band has simmered on the back burner of our musical lives for most of its existence but we’ve recently renewed our resolve to forge ahead and give Dr. Dog the attention we think it deserves.
God, he called for rain
So I built a ark, but no rain came
I was ashamed

Man, he called for war
So I built a gun and I joined the corps
But I was unsure

Love, she asked for more
But what I gave only made her poor
I wasn't sure

The dove, she promised land
As she laid the branch right into my hand
There was no land

Ooh, what does it mean to be here?
Well, I know because I can and I will
Yes, I know because I can and I wil

Albert Hammond, Jr.

Albert Hammond, Jr.
Albert Hammond, Jr. (born April 9, 1980, in Los Angeles) is a musician and member of the rock band The Strokes. The Strokes today are a successful band, arguably because of their ability to produce albums of great sound and lyrics while overcoming the ‘wealthy heirs’ stigma. Albert is usually seen playing an olympian white Fender Stratocaster, or bandmate Nick Valensi’s Les Paul Jr. He is usually associated with the “rhythm” guitar portion of the majority of Strokes songs, and most solos are played by Valensi. The solos in which Albert does play are Last Nite, Trying Your Luck, Take It Or Leave It, Under Control, The End Has No End, Ize Of The World, and Vision Of Division. His solos tend to focus largely on more emotional, “bluesy”-type melodical work, and the guitar tends to have a cleaner, softer tone in comparison to Valensi’s (with a noteable exception found in Vision Of Division). He often holds the guitar in a high horizontal position, similar to Bob Dylan and Ian Curtis.
Inside me,
there's a sad machine,
wants to stop movin
I disagree for the things you do
You should stop doin ...oh!

I almost forgot how good this band was.

New Pink: So What

The lyrics are quite funny.
I guess i just lost my husband
I don't know where he went
So i'm gonna drink my money
I'm not gonna pay his rent (Nope)
I got a brand new attitude
And i'm gonna wear it tonight
I wanna get in trouble
I wanna start a fight

Remember M2M?

Marit Elisabeth Larsen was born on July 1, 1983 in Lørenskog, Norway. She gained international fame during her teenage years as a member of the pop duo M2M with childhood friend Marion Raven. Recognizable as the lighter-haired of the two musicians, Larsen played the guitar and did half of the vocals and songwriting. After touring the world and producing two albums with hits such as don’t say you love me, Mirror Mirror, and Everything, M2M was broken up by Atlantic Records in September 2002. She released her debut Album, Under The Surface, in Norway on March 6.

So here it is, here it goes
I could try rock and roll
I would change your life forever too
If a song could get me you
I could make it high or low
Sing it on the radio
If that is what I need to do
If a song could get me you

Molly's Chambers

Image Hosted by

Free- is all that she could bleed
That's why'll she'll never stay
White- bare naked in the night
Just lookin' for some play
Just another girl that wants to rule the world
Any time or place
And when she gets into your head
You know she's there to stay

New Keane

Keane are known for using a piano as their lead instrument instead of guitars, significantly differentiating them from most rock bands. The inclusion of a distorted piano effect since 2006 and various synthesizers are now a common feature in their music that nowadays combines the pure piano rock sound used during their first album and the alternative rock sound which developed during 2005. Acoustic and power ballads are also a highlight in the group’s music and have evolved into many fan favourite songs such as “On a Day Like Today” and “We Might As Well Be Strangers”.
We're tumbling down
We're spiralling
Tied up to the ground
We're spiralling
When we fall in love
We're just falling
In love with ourselves
We're spiralling
